The farthest part of the Island from I-90 and the Town Center is South Mercer. This area is home to the large and beautiful Pioneer Park which offers of 6 miles of walking trails. There are even riding trails for horses. There is also a small shopping center within close proximity and local community center, the Mercer Island Country Club.
